Center for Education Law, Policy and Practices  kick off PD (professional development) seminar event featured international speaker Eric Hartwig.

The Center for Education Law, Policy and Practices at East Bay Educational Collaborative sponsored a PD event on Discipline and Behavior featuring international speaker Dr. Eric Hartwig, Ph.D. on December 6, 2007 at the Crowne Plaza., Warwick R.I. LEAs from across the State sent staff to hear Dr. Hartwig’s inspirational and practical message on school discipline and student behavior.  Dr. Hartiwg entertained and educated the audience during the full day seminar which concluded with an interactive discussion lead by attorneys David A. Kane, Stephen Adams and Matthew Plain who engaged the audience in a simulated case study. Many attending the seminar expressed an interest in inviting Dr.Hartwig to return to conduct a follow up activity designed for school teams. The Center is exploring the possibility of conducting such an event.

 Great opportunity for Center Members—

Although open to the general public, this seminar provided a great opportunity for members of the Center to take advantage of professional development seats at no additional charge.
Center members are encouraged to take advantage of this offering at future seminars.
