The Diverse Learning Network

Project ACCESS

Advancing Commitment and Capacity of Educators to Support Students

Vision

Every school in the East Bay region provides a differentiated educational environment which recognizes and accommodates the diverse learning needs of all students

Outcomes

  • Every school in the East Bay region has at least two teachers who act as agents for change demonstrating strategies with an emphasis on literacy to meet the diverse learning needs of students.   District and school administrators promote and support the efforts of identified teachers.

  • The East Bay region, districts and schools have designated people responsible for building the capacity to meet diverse learning needs.

  • Connections that foster coordination and collaboration among state, regional, district initiatives and networks support teachers, administrators, and staff in meeting diverse learning needs.

  • A reference and resource system is readily available and utilized by all schools in the East Bay region.  A coordinated system of communication fosters the capacity to support diverse learning needs region-wide.
