Earth Science
Grade 6
Narrative In this unit students will learn about changes on our Earth. They will understand how Earth’s layers differ in composition and temperature and how heat is transferred from Earth’s core to the surface. They will explore the “Theory of Continental Drift” and its supporting evidence. Through investigation, they will examine the forces of earth’s moving plates and the resulting geologic processes. Students will plot volcanic activity to identify the “Ring of Fire” and analyze the relationship between plate activity and volcanic eruptions, and changes in the earth’s surface. |
