and Ramps

Narrative Summary:
In the Marbles, Tracks and Ramps Module, children explore, observe, discover, and describe characteristics and properties of balls and their motion. They explore relationships between the physical properties of balls and their motion. They explore relationships between the physical properties of balls and their behavior on inclined planes. Children gain experience with concepts of gravity and mechanical energy, velocity and acceleration, and inertia, momentum, and friction. They develop and practice the process skills of observing, exploring materials and phenomena, and organizing, communicating, and applying their experiences.
