ESCALATES

Enhancing School to Career Applied Learning for

All Teachers, Employers and Students

 

 

ESCALATES is the collaborative effort of the eight East Bay school districts to build an integrated school-to-career/standards based system designed to give students the knowledge and skills to be successful in the world after high school.

 

ESCALATES initiatives offer workshops and institutes to support schools as they build connections between high academic achievement and real world applications.

 

For Teachers

·         Workshops to integrate applied learning strategies that include problem solving, team work, technology and communication strategies across academic disciplines.

·         Create project based and interdisciplinary activities

·         Business externships to reshape curriculum to reflect 21st century labor market needs

 

For Students

·         Job-Shadowing

·         Internships

·         Career Academies

·         Entrepreneurship

·         Career and Technical Programs

·         Career Pathways

·         Cooperative Learning

 

For School Teams

·         Two day Summer Institutes to build collaborative teams; to identify needs; and create common goals.
